Hey there, it's Marsha, your friendly neighborhood psychic medium! I've been doing this work for a while now, and let me tell you, there are a lot of misconceptions out there. People are naturally curious and skeptical, and that's totally okay. But unfortunately, there are also plenty of scammers out there who give legitimate psychics a bad name. So, let's set the record straight and debunk some of these common misconceptions!
Misconception #1: Psychics can read minds.
Sure, some psychics may be able to pick up on thoughts or emotions, but that's not the same as reading someone's mind. We don't have access to all of a person's thoughts or memories, and we certainly can't predict the future with absolute certainty. At the end of the day, you're the creator of your own reality, and where you place your energy is key to what you receive. I'm here to provide guidance and confirmation, but ultimately, it's up to you to follow your heart.
Misconception #2: Psychics are frauds.
Unfortunately, there are people out there who pose as psychics for financial gain. These fraudulent individuals have given legitimate psychics and mediums a bad reputation and made it harder for people to trust in the validity of our work. But let me tell you, if these frauds put as much effort into doing something good as they do scamming vulnerable people, they'd be making ten times as much money. As for me, I have integrity and a genuine desire to help others.
Misconception #3: Psychics are always "on."
Being a psychic is not like having a switch that can be turned on and off at will. We may receive messages or insights at unexpected times, but we also need time to recharge and take care of ourselves. I'm able to turn the "volume" down when I'm not working or looking for spiritual insight. It's important for me to take care of myself so that I can be fully present for my clients when they need me.
Misconception #4: Psychics can solve all problems.
As much as we'd like to be able to solve all of our clients' problems, that's just not realistic. While I may be able to provide insight or guidance, I cannot solve all of a person's problems for them. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to take action and make changes in their life. But don't worry, I'm here to support you every step of the way! Remember to breathe, ground yourself in nature or water, and find your tribe of supportive people who can hold space for you.
